He left behind the world of web design realizing that every time he was unable to work with a client (e.g. when he got a cold and needed time off) he wouldn’t get paid – even though the work was mostly outsourced.

He needed a better business model
At the same time he had adopted a tool that was helping him grow his business via referrals at an astounding rate but didn’t realize that the Entrepreneur account he has signed up for would allow him to grow a business as well.

Network marketing as a model
While looking for ways to grow his business without requiring himself to be available day-after-day he began to research the filthy Network Marketing Model he so detested! Can we say -Yuck!

After poring over his research he came to realize that his dislike for Network Marketing (aka Multi-Level Marketing) was more about the snake-oil salesmen type that had approached him in the past to join various companies. It wasn’t the model that was bad – just “some” people that represented it the wrong way.

Network Marketing actually makes sense
2×2=4! 4×2=8! It was exponential growth that could help me remove myself from my business. While this realization was forming in my head little did I know that 2 people had already joined my Sendoutcards business without me even knowing it and a cheque was on it’s way to me.

Why?
Well Sendoutcards prints out a unique url at the back of every card I send out and people receiving the cards were so impressed by the feeling or gratitude I left them with that they were curious how I sent the cards.

Then it clicked!
Then I knew I had to grow this business. I sold my web design business with its clients to a small design company in Simcoe, Ontario and made my main focus – SendOutCards.

Hallmark, Carlton Cards and American Greetings can’t compete – it would just be too expensive and kill their Retail business.
